Shorts

I wrote about my adventures ordering a new laptop (and having the order lost by Dell) on Our Intrepid Hero.

A guy on the phone at Dell actually told me you should never just place your order online. You should always call it in because otherwise it might get lost. Doesn’t that sort of defeat the purpose of their business model?

I also wrote about an interesting lesson I learned organizing the Great Bollywood Puppet Extravaganza auditions last week for Un-Scripted on my improv blog.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
