One of my co-workers actually pronounces the “s” at the end of Illinois. She knows it’s wrong. That’s just how she says it. Unfortunately the state comes up a lot. I never realized how annoying that was until now…

I talked to my friend Brian on the phone yesterday while I was at work. Not only was it great to hear from him, but I go more work done in the 15 minutes I was on the phone with him then I probably had in the half hour previous.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
