30% Off and What Books Should I Buy?

After buying a couple books last night after work, I stop into Stacy’s this afternoon on my lunch break and the sale has gone up to 30% off. D’oh.

A possibly incomplete list of books I’ve bought so far at Stacy’s since they announced they were closing:

American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman
Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman
Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman
On Writing by Stephen King
The New Annotated Dracula by Bram Stoker, Leslie S. Klinger, Janet Byrne, and Neil Gaiman

I’ve also bought a travel guide to Montana and Wyoming, but can’t remember the brand, and a Stacy’s bag. Tonight I will buy a travel guide to Belize.

Diana has purchased quite a few things as well, including a travel guide to Croatia and a French Toast cookbook.

Any suggestions on what I should buy? I’m taking this opportunity to stock my library with books I should read or feel I should own.

  1. Do you have Frankenstein? It goes so nicely with Dracula. But I have to admit, I find it very sad.

Bird By Bird by Anne Lamotte is another book about writing. I really like it.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
