How the Publishing Industry Works

FINALLY someone explains it all to me. I never knew that World of Warcraft and Second Life avatars resulted in the bulk of book sales:

Ever wonder how a book travels from the author to the reader? Or how much work is involved in the publishing process? And is this whole internet thing just a fad, like pagers and Tamagotchis?

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient.
