Shorts

Here’s one of those rare times that Microsoft does something really cool. It’s Neil Gaiman’s poem The Day the Saucers Came done on something called “Infinite Canvas” from Microsoft Live Labs.

There are some really cheap airfares right now to and from Chicago. Unfortunately I'm too busy to take advantage of them in the time frame they're available, but we're talking cheap like $178 roundtrip cheap. Here's how to find them.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient.
