Banned

There's been a lot of press recently about Fred Michael Savage being banned from Britain. A post on Mental Floss alerted me to this little tidbit about a random tourist banned from the country:

In January [2007], a foreigner who wanted to visit the north east was refused entry to Britain because visa officials ruled it "not credible" that anyone would want to spend a week in Gateshead.

(Thanks Diana for the correction.)

  1. It's Michael Savage, the conservative insane radio talk show host. Not Fred Savage, adorable imp of Wonder Year's fame!

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
