My Favorite Exit Sign is Gone

Riding south on 880 in Hayward (which is technically east on 880 since interstates ending in even numbers run east/west), one used to pass my favorite exit sign of all time:



Alas, the lanes were recently reconfigured and the sign now just says "A Street: Exit Only". It doesn't have quite the same effect.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient.
