Liberals and Conservatives both love government spending when it's spent on things they like. Conservative: the military. Liberals: social services. If it's the other way around they bitterly oppose it. So neither is really "against" government spending. So let's get past all this hypocritical "tea party" craziness, shall we?
As I've said before, I still have yet to hear any conservative explain to me satisfactorily why it's ok to spend trillions on wars in other counties but it's not ok to spend trillions on this country.
I also find it amusing to hear all the conservative wackos saying the same things about Obama that liberal wackos said about Bush. "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" Just because you're not in power doesn't make the other guy the Antichrist.
Personally in my own wacko-way, I think the 2-party system doesn't work. But a 3 party system wouldn't work either. We need at least 4. Libertarians, Republicans, Democrats, and Greens.
There, I will stop now. I actually don't like getting all political on this blog, but sometimes I can't resist. So I'll just bury it in a Saturday post that fewer people will read.

UPDATE: Although it's been brought to my attention that maybe a blog is a better place to get political than Facebook.
