Project Runway 6 Finale Tonight

The Project Runway finale is tonight. Alas, I am performing tonight in:

Given that the show will probably be ending just as Project Runway starts, I don't think I'll make it home in time. I will try to watch it sometime on Friday, but my finale round-up post probably won't happen tomorrow. You'll just have to wait until Saturday.

In the meantime, there's more news on Irina-Gate. Remember how she had to give up her Coney Island T-Shirts? She replaced that idea with a dress on which she had written reasons to love New York. Awe that's nice, right?

Except that the folks at Project Rungay took a closer look at the photos of that dress and discovered that all of her reasons came from a December 2008 issue of New York Magazine.

Once again, the woman who would not shut up about people stealing her ideas shows herself incapable of having original ones of her own. From The Cut, a New York Magazine Blog:

When Irina was forced to change her Brooklyn T-shirt design, she copied yet another famous device, our "Reasons to Love New York" issue. She even calls it “Reasons to Love.” We don’t mind, really, but for someone who’s so bent on proving that Althea is copying her, Irina’s quite liberal with her own “inspiration.” But we’re not bitter — how could we be, when Tim is around to utter lines like “We’re walking to Mood, using our feet — this is New York!” We’ll learn the outcome and the winner next week. Can’t wait!

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
