Chef Jose Garces is the Next Iron Chef. The judges didn't seem too particularly thrilled with either choice, as if there was some fundamental beak-down in the system. As Diana noticed, it was pretty obvious Garces was going to win. Why? Because he was able to banter with Alton Brown while cooking whereas Chef Metah didn't answer any questions at all. As I mentioned before, being an Iron Chef is about more than just being a great versatile cook, it's about being a performer. (Even though "performance" never factored overtly into one of the challenges.) Garces was clearly the better performer. (And he's the minority they were looking for.)

    I think it's less "As Diana noticed" and more "As Diana kept bitching about THE ENTIRE HOUR."
