12 Days of Christmas Index

It's time for the 2009 PNC Christmas Price Index.

This year it would cost $87,403 to purchase all of the elements of the song (including the multiples, as according to the song you would actually have to get 12 partridges in pear trees, one for each day). That's up $794 from last year. (SF Gate Article)

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
