Ten rules for writing fiction

I actually just learned most of those from reading On Writing by Stephen King, but still good to see reinforced. I wish I'd learned them before I wrote The Deadworks, which I now see needs an extensive overhaul.

Edward Gorey was a Star Trek fan. Someone drew up The Trouble with Tribbles in his style. The posting also includes part of a very interesting old newspaper interview with Gorey from the late 70's.

I am also a big Walt Disney fan although I will say "Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo" wasn't as good as the other Herbies.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
