Denied Paris & Stranded in Iceland.

A volcano erupts in Iceland and shuts down air travel in most of Western Europe.

My boss, due to leave for a weekend in Paris today before going to our Luxembourg office, will hopefully leave Monday but go right to Luxembourg.

Amanda Palmer (twitter feed), rock goddess and fiance to the oft written of in these pages Neil Gaiman (twitter feed), is stranded in Iceland. She reached out to her 400,000 twitter followers and found a fan to pick her up at the airport and show her around. She will also do a show tonight as long as she's there.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
