Spark of Life

I stumbled across NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day on Friday, and the first thing that came to mind when I saw it was Michaelangelo's Creation of Adam on the Sistine Chapel. The tendrils of gas seem to match the fingers of God and Adam in the fresco.

It just makes me wonder if Michaelangelo would have had access to a telescope strong enough to have seen it. I mean, some people already claim he painted God as a giant brain, so why not some astronomical inspiration as well?

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
