Worth Mentioning

It is perhaps worth mentioning that I am in the middle of another round of much needed re-writes and edits on the novel. I don't know how many people ever go there or attempt to read it, but you might hold out a little until I get the new version up there.

I can't believe four years ago right now I was finishing up the first draft while sitting on a small patch of grass in Woodstock, New York. Until I dove back in last month, I hadn't touched it in over a year. It's amazing what a little distance and reading Stephen King's On Writing, Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird, and Ariel Gore's How to Become a Famous Author Before You're Dead can do to your perspective.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
