MLB Fail

As the sounds of the throngs gathered in front of my building to celebrate the Giants Victory parade waft up 35 floors to my ears, I read this article:

TV ratings for World Series equal record low

To blame this on San Francisco and Texas being smaller market teams misses the point, and frankly isn't true. Dallas and the Bay Area are the 5th and 6th largest TV markets in the country, respectively.

This is because Major League Baseball consistently fails to adequately market any team outside of New York, Boston, Chicago, or Los Angeles. There have been other great teams besides the Yankees. There are other rivalries than the Yankees/Red Sox or the Cubs/Cardinals.

If a regular season NFL game between teams in the 10th and 25th markets can out-rate a World Series, MLB is doing something seriously wrong with it's marketing, but their solution seems to be to just do their best to rig the Yankees in to the World Series every year. MLBFAIL

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
