You're Scottish, Go Fry Something

I have Doctor Who on the brain these days. My TV habits have changed dramatically of late. Diana and I have fallen into a pattern where we have 1 or 2 shows we watch with regularity over the regular broadcast/cable channels. It was SyFy's American version of Being Human and has transitioned into America's Next Top Model. To fill the rest of our TV viewing hours, we've started watching an entire season of another show all at once.

It started for me with Firefly while Diana was busy with her show. I gobbled up one or two episodes a night until I'd watched them all, which admitedly didn't take very long. Such a good show:

Then we moved on to Season 1 of Veronica Mars. I urge all you mystery and noir fans to watch it and not assume because it's about a teenage girl with whom you have nothing in common (unless you are a teenage girl raised in Southern California) that you won't enjoy it. Stephen King loved that show and he's about as opposite of a SoCal teenage girl as you can get.

(It's virtually impossible to find a Veronica Mars clip that doesn't include spoilers, so you get the opening credits with a song that, should you watch the show, will get stuck in your head for weeks, in a good way.)

We watched the first episode of Season 2, just so I could have resolution on the cliff-hanger, and then turned our attention to Season 5 of Doctor Who (as previously discussed).

Where will we go next? I dunno. Maybe back to Veronica Mars. Maybe to the BBC Being Human. Who knows? I must say, I love watching a TV show without having to wait a week for the next episode. Ah, the wonderful world we live in.

In 1789, the governor of Australia granted land and some animals to James Ruse in an experiment to see how long it would take him to support himself. Within 15 months he had become self sufficient. The area is still known as Experiment Farm. This is my Experiment Farm to see how long it will take me to support myself by writing.
