Brawl

Apparently, as part of a highlight reel shown before Rangers games, they show a clip of an epic brawl between current Rangers owner Nolan Ryan and current White Sox manager Robin Ventura from back in 1993. Ryan has said they will no longer show the clip when the White Sox come to town as a show of respect for Ventura.

It's a pretty amazing brawl. Ryan's 20 years older then Ventura and schools him. Amazingly, Ventura was ejected but Ryan was allowed to stay in the game. He didn't give up another hit the rest of the game in the Rangers' victory.

If you pay attention, you'll see Bo Jackson in the scrum. Ivan Rodriguez was the Rangers' catcher. Former White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen's in there somewhere as is Rafael Palmeiro. Hang on to the end of the clip to see the best replay angle on Ryan pummeling the top of Ventura's head.
